1. Burning Capacity

i. Incinerator should be capable to burn waste @ 100 kg / hr in single loading.

2. Construction

i.   Packaged type skid mounted dual chamber construction

ii. Stainless steel or Mild steel outer with thickness 5mm or more, sheet should be painted with heat resistant and anti-corrosive paint.

iii. Internal surface of incinerator should be line with non– cracking refractory bricks made of ceramics or concrete to withstand the temperature of 1400 oC, furthermore bricks must be backed by thermal insulation and have thickness in between

220C250 mm.

iv. There should be thermal insulation of high performance calcium silicate (Density 230Kg.m-3)to withstand high temperature with flame spread/smoke index not more than 1.

v. Refractory and thermal insulation must be designed in robust way so that outer temperature on sheet does not rise above 55–

60 oC even after continuous operation of 12 hours.

3. Primary Chamber

i. Chamber be designed with capacity to load 100kg medical waste with volume at least 1.2m3 or more, chamber must have separate door for loading of waste and for removal of ash using manual ash removing tool.

ii. Pyrolytic burning mechanism with burning temperature not below than 900 oC.

iii. Blower Centrifugal fan (according to manufacturer design) will be provided to inject air for burning waste and gases in primary combustion chamber furthermore air  regulation and distribution will be automatic and electronically controlled.

iv.  Chamber should have electrically operated natural gas burner.

The Incinerator (waste management system ) is a turn-key project which will compromise a hospital grade incinerator, allied accessories for proper disposal of hospital solid waste material and imputed human organs. 
The incinerator shall also be suitable for plastic, paper, textile and rubber dry and wet infectious waste of the hospital. The unit shall be of high performance to 
be opened continuously for at least 08 C 12 hours daily. The Primary source of fuel will be natural gas (must be compatible with LPG as backup source with vaporizers)
 based on pyrolytic 
combustion with smokeless emissions. For ensuring the clean environment, it should strictly comply with EPA standards having EIA certifications
 The incinerator system should be based on at least  design and recently manufactured having following specifications:-
(1)    Burning Capacity. Continuous feeding and burning capacity of 50-60 kg/ hour or better having volume of 500 liters or more. YES, 50-100kgs/hr. 560 Liters

(a)    Primary Chamber

i.                     Chimney should be made of stainless steel flanged section. YES

PPE demand among the general public, health care workers, and service workers, single-use face mask production in China soared to 116 million per day in February, about 12 times the usual quantity. 
The World Health Organization has requested a 40% escalation of disposable PPE production. If the global population 
adheres to a standard of one disposable face mask per day after lockdowns end, the pandemic could result in a monthly 
global consumption and waste of 129 billion face masks and 65 billion gloves. Hospitals in Wuhan, the center of the COVID-19 outbreak, produced more than 240 tons of single-use plastic-based medical waste (such as disposable face masks, gloves, and gowns) per day at the peak of the pandemic, 
6 times more than the daily average before the pandemic occurred. If the increases observed in Wuhan hold true 
elsewhere, the United States could generate an entire year’s worth of medical waste in 2 months.
